When commercial banks undergo an "operation-light transformation," they need not rely on expansions in asset size,branch network,or workforce to obtain profits.Rather,they leverage technology,product and service innovations,among other things,to reduce risk asset weight and allocate more weight to light assets,in a move to lower capital consumption.These actions align with requirements set by changes in economic and financial environments.
