高兼容性超低弯曲损耗单模光纤的制备与表征

         

摘要

This letter introduces the design and preparation of a novel non-photonic crystal structured and bend-insensitive single-mode optical fiber.It numerically analyzes the trench waveguide structure of the fiber and obtains by using the PCVD process its sample with a MFD of 4.3 μm at 1 310 nm and 5.4 μm at 1 550 nm,and a splicing loss with G.652D fiber as low as 0.1 5 dB/2 joints,satisfying the splicing requirements of common jumpers.When this sample is wound 10 turns with a bend radius of 2.5 mm,its bending loss is optimized to 0.01 dB at 1 550 nm,satisfying any harsh FTTx application environment. Furthermore,it has the potential to replace copper cables as an ideal transmission medium in consumer electronics and to be ap-plied in various photoelectronic devices.%介绍了一种新型非光子晶体结构弯曲不敏感单模光纤的设计与制备。采用数值计算方法分析了光纤的下陷型波导结构,通过 PCVD(等离子体化学气相沉积法)工艺获得了1310 nm 波长的模场直径为4.3μm、1550 nm 波长的模场直径为5.4μm的光纤样品,与 G.652D 光纤的双点接续损耗低至0.15 dB,满足普通跳线的接续要求。该样品在2.5 mm 弯曲半径条件下弯曲10圈,其1550 nm波长的弯曲损耗优化至0.01 dB,可适用于任何苛刻的 FTTx 应用环境,并有替代铜缆成为消费电子中理想传输介质的潜力,同时还可用于各种光电器件中。
