This paper explores some of the characteristics of re-al-life listening materials and the distinction from its traditional counterpart in classroom setting. Furthermore, two listening ma-terials excerpted from different EFL course-books are analyzed and assessed in terms of their real-life alikeness, therefore help-ing to guide college English teachers in choosing appropriate lis-tening materials and preparing students' listening in real-life sit-uations.%本文通过列举真实生活中英语听力材料的五个特点,探讨了真实英语听力与传统课堂听力之间的区别,并以此为评判标准,对两篇中级水平听力材料是否来源自真实生活进行了分析和判断,以帮助大学英语教师在英语听力材料的选择上更具针对性、实战性。
