论大学英语课堂中的文化教学

摘要

Language is a necessary part of culture as well as the carrier of it. Learning language is not only learning the language knowledge itself, but also learning culture in which it develops. Nowadays, language knowledge is the emphasis of college Eng-lish teaching class, compared with which culture teaching is dis-tinctly not enough. In order to improve students' competence in language learning and language application as well as their in-ter-cultural communication competence,cultural teaching must be enforced.%语言是文化的一部分，也是文化的载体，学习语言不仅是要学习语言知识，更是要学习一种文化。大学英语课堂教学中多侧重英语语言知识的讲授，文化教学开展不足，想要从根本上提高学生的语言学习和运用的能力，就必须在大学英语课堂中开展文化教学，提高学生跨文化交际能力。
