试论大学英语学习词典之释义模式

摘要

词典作为工具书,在英语学习中是极为重要的,而查阅释义一般是英语学习者使用词典的首要目的.文章从大学英语学习的角度出发,对目前大学生使用较多的几本学习词典的释义模式进行了对比分析,指出了几种常见释义模式的适用范围.在此基础上,文章进一步对大学英语学习词典的释义模式提出了建议.%Dictionary is a very important tool in English learners' study, whose primary purpose of using a dictionary is usually to look up the definition of a new word. The paper analyzes differ-ent defining styles applied in current English learners' dictio-naries from the perspective of college English learning, and sug-gests appropriate application of these defining styles. The paper further puts forward suggestions in terms of defining styles in dictionaries for college English learners.
