长期以来，由于小说线性的叙事特征，人们注重对时间的分析，从而忽略了空间。随着现代主义小说对时空交叉和时空倒置等技法的运用，传统的线性时间顺序被打破，小说的空间意识才得以觉醒。本文将从新世纪前十年短篇小说呈现出的具体形态入手，分析小说中城市与乡村各自的物理空间特征，以及城乡交叠叙事背后暗含的社会空间、伦理空间及心理空间。%For a long time, due to the linear narrative characteris-tics of novels, people pay attention to the analysis of time, rather than space. With the application of such techniques as space-time overlapping and space-time inversion into modernist novels, the traditional linear time order has been broken, result-ing in the awakening of spacial awareness of novels. Starting from the specific forms of short stories presented during the first decade of the new century, this paper respectively analyzes both urban and rural physical spatial features, as well as the social space, ethical space and psychological space implied in ur-ban-rural overlapping narration.
