Sea urchin embryo is an ideal model for studying the neurodevelopment biology. Serotonergic nervous system (SNS) is the earliest one formed during the early development of sea urchin, which is comprised of the apical ganglion and serotonin receptor network. SNS is involved in regulating the swimming behavior of sea urchin larvae. In this study, we introduced the development process of apical ganglion and serotonin receptor network.
