Ship roll damping coefficient is an important factor in predicting the ship motion in waves. Based on CFD, the roll damping motion of DTMB5512 model in calm water is numerically simulated. A method is given to calculate ship roll damping coefficient. Calculated results are in good agreement with tank test data. The CFD method is more accurate than potential flow method and more convenient and economical than tank test method.%横摇阻尼系数是船舶波浪中运动性能预报的重要参数.以计算流体力学(CFD)理论为基础,以DT-MB5512驱逐舰船模为对象,对其静水中的横摇衰减运动进行了数值模拟,给出了一种船舶横摇阻尼系数的计算方法,计算结果与水池实验数据吻合良好.该方法可有效弥补势流理论及水池实验方法的不足,扩展用于船舶其他耐波性水动力系数的计算.
