Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of unilateral and bilateral growing rod techniques on the treatment of early onset scoliosis(EOS). Methods 34 cases of EOS hospital on the NO. 157 Hospital Affiliated to ( OAC) Genenral Hospital of Guangzhou in PLA Military Area from 2009 February to 2012 Febru-ary were randomly divided into 2 groups according to digital table method, control group ( n=17 cases) was treated with unilateral growing rod techniques,observation group ( n=17 cases) was treated with double grow-ing rod techniques. The clinical curative effect of two groups were observed and compared. Results There were no significant difference between the two groups about operative time, intraoperative blood loss,hospital stay and postoperative complications(P>0. 05). The coronary and sagittal Cobb Angle of two groups after treatment de-creased significantly,and the observation group decreased more significantly than that of the control group( P<0. 05). The coronary position correction rate, sagittal C7-S1 and correct rate increase height of observation group were significantly higher than that of control group(P<0. 05). Conclusion The treatment of growth rod tech-niques for EOS had an obvious therapeutic effect,and the curative effect of double growing rod techniques was much better than unilateral grow good,the correct rate of coronal and sagittal bits was higher. It was worthy of clinical popularization and application.%目的：比较单侧与双侧生长棒技术治疗早发性脊柱侧凸( EOS)的临床疗效。方法将2009年2月至2012年2月广州军区广州总医院附属157医院收治的34例EOS患儿按随机数字表法分为两组：对照组(17例)采用单侧生长棒技术治疗，观察组(17例)采用双侧生长棒技术治疗。观察和比较两组患儿的临床疗效。结果两组EOS患儿在手术时间、术中出血量、住院时间及术后并发症方面比较差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05)；两组EOS患儿治疗后冠状位Cobb角和矢状位Cobb角均显著小于治疗前，且观察组较对照组减小更为显著(P<0.05)；观察组冠状位矫正率、矢状位矫正率及C7-S1增高度均显著高于对照组(P<0.05)。结论生长棒治疗EOS疗效显著，双侧生长棒疗效显著优于单侧生长棒，冠状位与矢状位的矫正率较高，值得临床推广应用。
