The Pentagon Poetry Society is a fresh force that has recently emerged in the world of letters in South-east Asia as its members were all born in the 1980s, thus displaying vigorous energies. In terms of values and artistic expression, this society is characterized by creativity, openness, variety, liveliness and the‘burst-fire’method; its existence and development will demonstrate that Burma will no longer be a marsh land of poetry written in Chinese but it will be one of many high lands of poetry in Southeast Asia.%五边形诗社是缅甸也是东南亚华文诗坛最新崛起的一支生力军，因其成员全部都是1980年代出生的后起之秀，而显示出了勃勃生机。这个诗社在价值观取向和艺术表现等方面的基本特点是：创造性、开放性、多样性、鲜活性和点射法等。它的存在和发展将证明缅甸不再是华文诗歌的洼地，而是东南亚诗歌众多高地中的一片。
