In 2015, two exhibitions by Gao Xingjian were held in Belgium, one being‘A Gao Xingjian Retrospective’, held at the Musée d'Ixelles, in honour of the history of his paintings and his achievements and the other,‘The Awakening of Consciousness’, held at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium. Following Zhao Wuji(Zao Wou-ki), Gao Xingjian is the second among overseas Chinese to reach this sublime peak of art.%2015年比利时以巨大规格举办高行健的绘画双展：一是在首都布鲁塞尔的伊赛尔美术馆举办“高行健回顾展”，以展示高行健的绘画历史及成就；二是在比利时皇家美术馆举办“高行健———意识的觉醒”专题展。继赵无极之后，华裔中就是高行健走到这个堂皇的艺术尖顶了。
