美国媒体中浙江城市形象的话语建构研究

         

摘要

文章运用语料库语言学的研究方法,结合评价理论态度系统视角,从关注情况和接受情况两个层面考察了美国当代英语语料库( COCA)媒体语料中浙江城市形象的话语建构。研究发现,11个城市中杭州、温州、宁波、绍兴英文名的出现频数超过了10次,相对关注度较高,同时美国媒体对这些城市的关注点各有侧重。虽然态度资源的分布具有地域差异,但是就总体分布情况而言,美国媒体对出现频数超过10次的浙江城市的正面评价显著多于负面评价,城市形象的整体接受度较高。%Based on the research methods of corpus linguistics,this paper takes the attitude system of Appraisal Theory as the perspective to investigate the discourse construction of the Zhejiang city image in five types of media in COCA from the angles of concern and acceptance. It is found that the frequencies of Hang⁃zhou,Wenzhou,Ningbo,and Shaoxing in 11 prefecture⁃level cities appear more than 10 times and have rela⁃tively high degree of concern,and also the American media’s concerns vary in these cities. Although the atti⁃tude resources distributions in the cities which have the frequencies of more than 10 times have regional differences,the American Media use more positive resources than negative ones in terms of the overall atti⁃tude resources distribution. Therefore,those cities have an overall high acceptance rate.
