克里斯托弗·马洛的传记形象与文化建构

         

摘要

In recent years, issues such as violence, subversion, homosexuality and atheism in Christopher Marlowe's biography and works have become hot topics again among the researchers of the early modern English literature. Christopher Marlowe has undergone the same process of Gary Taylor's so-called reinvention as William Shakespeare. Due to the fluidity of his biographical images, Marlowe partly witnesses the changing values and ideology in today's world. This paper argues that the western critics' fascination with Marlowe as a Renaissance playwright has far exceeded the significance of Renaissance's biographical writings, and behind people's concern about Marlowe are efforts to reinterpret the Renaissance age itself.%近年来,克里斯托弗·马洛传记和作品中有关“暴力”、“颠覆’、“同性恋”和“无神论”等问题再度成为早期现代英国文学研究者的热门话题。与莎士比亚一样,马洛也经历了加里·泰勒所谓的“重新发明”的过程,马洛“与时俱进”的传记形象同时见证了当代文化语境中价值体系与意识形态的流变。在某种意义上,英关文学评论界对于马洛生平传记的普遍关注已经远远超出了一般意义的传记书写,隐藏其后的是研究者对于“文艺复兴时代”的阐释与再阐释。
