高职生英语学习动机现状的实证研究--以天津某高职院校为例

         

摘要

The subjects of the study were 160 students from one of the vocational colleges in Tianjin. The data was collected by self-made questionnaire and analyzed by the SPSS 17.0. The results are as follows: college students ’ English learning motivation is generally at average level and needs further improvement; the types of the motivation are inner interest, instrumental motivation, integrative motivation and scenario-depending motivation. Among them, the last one is the strongest while the third one, the weakest. In the end, from the perspectives of teacher, interest and instrument, the author suggests some strategies for enhancing the motivation, such as aiving praise and encouragement in class, providing fresh and interesting teaching materials, and adopting flexible and diversified teaching methods to arouse different learners ’ interest.%以天津某高职院校的160名学生为调查样本,采用自编问卷《高职生英语学习动机的调查》,用SPSS17.0进行统计分析。结果发现,高职生英语学习动机总体处于中等水平;主要有内在兴趣型、工具型、融入型和场景依赖型这四种动机类型,其中场景依赖型动机水平最高,融入型动机水平最低,其余两种动机处于中等水平。依据研究结果,最后从教师、兴趣和工具三个角度提出了课堂上以赞扬和鼓励为主,教学内容增加新颖性和趣味性,利用灵活多样的教学方式以激发不同类型学生的学习热情等针对性策略,为高职英语教学提供借鉴和参考。
