高等教育学对领导学的伦理道德方面的实证研究目前很有限。本文试图通过对美国南方高校贝勒大学处理学生性侵案事件的分析，重新审视学校管理层在对此类事件处理过程中所面临的道德困境及领导失误。特别是其前校长斯塔尔及其管理层在面对道德困境时，如何在经济利益、学生利益及学校的整体利益之间进行取舍。文章力图从道德标准、法律约束、社会监督的角度分析美国社会对高校管理失误的反应和容忍度，从而揭示后资本主义社会对高校领导在道德伦理上的影响，及伦理道德在领导和政策制定与实施中的作用。新型的大学领导所需要的不仅是领导的个人魅力、性格、声望和关系网，更重要的是在面对多变的社会文化中，在面对复杂的道德困境时，能够在法律法规的范围内，通盘考虑大局的领导能力。%Studies on moral leadership of college presidents have been scarce in the field of higher education studies. This article intends to examine the mishandling of sexual assaults on the campus of Baylor University, a Baptist university in Texas, USA. The scandal comes amid heightened concerns nationwide about sexual violence on campus. This article argues that the university administration and the high-profile president Ken Starr neglected the alleged reports of sexual assaults on campus, and the priority of university has been set for winning football games above everything else, including moral values. The article intends to analyze the moral dimensions of academic leadership and the effects of the moral leadership on university administration.
