The House on Mango Street is an autobiographical piece of writing which relates to events in the life of its author Sandra Cisneros,a Mexican American woman writer.It tells the stories of the protagonist＇s coming of age in poetic language by a little girl.From the perspective of feminism,this paper explores Cisneros＇s rethinking of female identity and destiny by comparing the heroine Esperanza and the women and men around her on Mango Street.%《芒果街上的小屋》是墨西哥裔美国女作家桑德拉.西斯内罗斯的一部半自传体作品,它以一个小女孩的口吻,用充满诗意的语言讲述了她从稚嫩到逐渐成熟的青春期的成长故事。本文从女性主义视角出发,比较了小主人公埃斯佩郎莎和其身边的女性与男性形象,从而探讨作者对女性身份和命运的新的思考。
