Professor Wang thinks humonism instead of instrumentalism is the nature of Chinese, that language sense cultivation, not language k~owledge, is the teaching task, that Chinese teaching activities take place in dialogues between readers and texts, teachers and students, that language sense comes from the subject and the texts and life. Professor Wang emphasizes it is the ability to understand and use the native language that should be teaching. Therefore, cultivating and enhancing students＇ Chinese awareness is the ke tivated in Chinese be focused on.
