The Hours,written by Michael Cunningham,Taking Virginia Woolf’s famous novel Mrs. Dalloway as its chief source,has attracted wide criticism,however,seldom critics paid any attention to the stardom in the novel. This paper will analyze its cultural implication of celebrities from the following three aspects:commercializa-tion,measurement of individual value,and different attitudes towards their particular taste.
