从译介学视角看汉译英中文化意象的失落——以理雅各和汪榕培等的《易经》英译本为例

We make are determined by ethnical characteristics, which, in some transmission, and this, together with distortion of cultural a deliberate analysis to the translation of The Book of Chan- ges between James Legge and Wang Rongpei, and get such a conclusion： Culture difference is highlighted as the inner clement to lead to the loss of cultural imagery in language transformation when the translation strategy applied to translation of cultural imagery in The Book of Changes is considered.%民族性决定了文化的相对固定性和独立性，从某种意义上讲，民族性也决定了文化意象传递的缺失性。而这种反映在文化传递中意象的失落和歪曲现象也正是译介学所关注的焦点。通过分析理雅各和汪榕培等《易经》的英译文本，认为两者在译介过程中都未能正确传递《易经》文化的民族特质和意蕴，甚至在文化意象传递方面还存在错位、失落、歪曲现象。在英译过程中君子、小人的德才品行的意蕴，黄色被赋予的尊贵象征，“西山”通假“岐山”及岐山献祭这一典故等都未能译出，这些都损坏了易文化中特有的文化意象。同时研究也认为语言在不同文化背景译介时，文化差异是促成其文化意象失落的重要原因。
