He contributed greatly to the Romanticism by writing the Preface to the second edition of Lyrical Ballad, in which he proclaimed to write poems in common lan- guage. His own poems, however, are found to have some flaws in comparison with the poems by his contemporary poets, i. e. there are cracks in the sensibility of his poems. The fusion of sensibility is always the final criteria to tell a good poem from a bad one. T. S. Eliot argued that there was a ＂dissociation of sensibility＂ in the poems in England since 17 centu- ry. Similar flaws are found in the poems by other English Romantic poets.
