The Enlightenment of British Flower Border Design to Chinese Flower Border Design

摘要

In recent years, flower borders have been widely used in urban parks and road landscape in China, and have gradually become a hot spot in garden design. However, China’s flower border design is still in the primary stage, and the practical application effect is not good. This study sorted out the evolution, development reasons, and design features of flower borders in British gardens, drew lessons from British flower border design in terms of planting form, plant configuration, facade design, color matching, and space artistic conception, and proposed inspiration for the design of Chinese flower borders, so as to enrich flower border design in China.
