姜夔词中有三分之一的作品是运用“月”意象进行传情达意的，与文学史上同类意象的词作相比，白石笔下的“月”意象在表现思乡、怀远、哲理之思及高洁之志等文化意蕴时，独具清冷风韵。这种“冷月”风格的形成与姜夔的性格及经历、所处的时代文化环境及词作观有着密切的关系。%The moon imagery is often demonstrated by Jiang Kui in his poems . It is connected with homesickness , the sorrow of parting , decrepitude and noble character . Jiang Kui likes to present the desolate moon's unique charm . This has a close relation with Jiang Kui's character , life , the environment and his own concept of poems .
