学生评教的影响因素研究--基于排序Logit/Probit回归的实证分析

         

摘要

探究评教结果的影响因素,对完善我国高校的学生评教制度具有重要意义。基于上海某高校下属二级学院的专业课学生评教数据,考察课程/课堂和教师特征对评教结果的影响,综合运用描述性统计、相关性分析、逐步回归和排序Logit/Probit回归分析进行研究。研究结果表明:成绩因素和评教分的正相关,既可能来自师生相互“包容”导致的败德行为,也可能源于“教学相长”带来的相互认可;任课教师的教龄和博士学位分别与评教分正相关和负相关,说明了学生对教学经验的认可;副教授的评教能得到认同,一方面是因为其教学经验和学术水平已积累到一定程度,另一方面可能因为他们和学生年龄差距相对较小而容易沟通。%Investigating factors affecting Students’ evaluation of teaching (SET) is very important for the improvement of this policy. Based on data from an affiliated school of a university in Shanghai, econometric techniques such as descriptive statistics and correlation analysis, stepwise regression and order Logit/Probit regression are all used to test whether characteristics of courses/classes and teachers can influence on SET. Outcomes indicate, score of the course is positively correlated to SET, which indicates the forgiveness or appreciation between teachers and students; the teaching age and the doctor’s degree of the teacher are positively and negatively correlated to SET respectively, which reflects students’ approval of experience in teaching; associate professors are highly evaluated, which indicates their experience and academic aptitude are recognized by students, or just because their ages are relatively close to those of students and they can be got along with easily.
