浅析归国留学生在现代高等工程教育中的作用——以私立焦作工学院为例

         

摘要

以私立焦作工学院(后与其他学校合并为西北工学院)为个案,就该校归国留学生群体对于现代中国高等工程教育的作用进行分析。首先,初步提出现代高等工程教育思想理念并进行了卓有成效的高等工程教育实践:私立焦作工学院时期,归国留学生群体在本校内部建成了学科齐全、专业特征明显的工学教学科研和管理体系;西北工学院时期,继续探索培养适合战时国情特点的"通才"型工程技术人才的教育思想。其次,本校的归国留学生群体为高等工程教育的中国本土化进行了可贵的探索:大学教科书编写的本土化,教学方式的中国化,努力营造中国古代书院式的教师与学生关系。%This paper analyzes the role of returned students group in modern higher engineering education based on a case study of Private Jiaozuo Engineering Institute. Firstly, returned students put forward the concept of modern higher engineering education and made fruitful practices in this field, they established engineering teaching and research management system which are characterized by multiple subjects and remarkable professional features in the period of Private Jiaozuo Engineering Institute, then, in the period of Northwest Engineering Institute, they went on to explore the educational concept for cultivating qualified engineers who are popular in wartime. Secondly, returned students contributed a lot to the localization of higher engineering education in China, such as, the localization of textbooks, the localization of teaching methods, the localization of relationship between students and teacher, etc.
