In order to reduce the risk of soil heavy metal pollution on the quality and safety of tobacco leaves, the content and accumulation index of 5 soil heavy metals(arsenic, lead, cadmium, chromium) was studied. The single-factor pollution index, comprehensive pollution index and HAKANSON potential ecological risk index were used to assess the soil environmental quality based on"GB 15618 soil envi-ronmental quality standard".The results indicated that the average content of As,Hg,Pb,Cd and Cr was 11.41,0.07,24.65,0.25 and 60.69 mg·kg-1,respectively,lower than the"GB 15618 soil envi-ronmental quality standard"requirements. The accumulation index of As,Hg,Pb,Cd and Cr was 0.90, 0.81,1.15,2.84 and 0.97,respectively,indicating with low accumulation of As,Hg,Pb,Cr in the soil with only an obvious accumulation of Cd.Comprehensive pollution index of 96% soil samples was in gradeⅠ(P≤0.7)and gradeⅡ(0.7
