“复”是中古时期产生的一个词尾，词尾“复”是在与“又”同义连用共同做状语的句法环境中产生的，“又复”高频共现、逐步凝合，在发展过程中“又”吞噬了“复”的语法功能，“复”意义脱落虚化为词尾。“又”“复”同义连用时，它们的语法功能的不同，决定了在排列顺序上“复”位于“又”之后，“复”的后置性是其虚化为副词词尾的一个重要因素。%“复”, a suffix appeared in Chinese in Northern and Southern Dynasties, Sui and Tang Dynas-ties, was developed synonymously with “又” and used together with “又”as adverbs. The two words always come together frequently, but as used for a long time,“又” gradually covered the grammatical function of“复”, making“复” a suffix.“复”and“又” are combined but different grammatical functions of the two words make“复” come after“又”, which reduces it to be merely a suffix.
