挣扎的底特律：后工业城市复兴的理论、实践与评述

在世界众多经历结构性衰落的工业城市中，美国底特律是其中最具历史性的典型。在探索后工业城市复兴的道路上，文化产业经济成为了过去几十年来城市增长理论中的核心。底特律从上世纪末期开始一直尝试通过发展文化经济试图重整衰败的城市。2013年底，底特律的破产宣告了这些努力的失败。首先，追溯了底特律在后工业时代与其他多数工业城市一样经历的历史衰落轨迹；其次，回顾了后工业城市通过文化推动城市发展的主要理论；再次，分析和讨论了底特律采取的一系列文化发展政策及其失败的潜在因素，以此来反思和评述主流城市文化经济增长的理论局限；最后，论述了城市增长理论的最新发展方向。%Recent decades have seen a cultural turn in urban studies: both theoretical discussions and actual practices have emphasized the importance of cultural economy in the re-development of post-industrial cities. In examining the decline of once greatest city---Detroit, this article tracks the theoretical transformation from production to consumption in urban literature, reviews Detroit’s actual cultural practices since 1950s, and explains the gap between theories and practices. Toward the end, this article discusses some implications for post-industrial cities in China.
