To create a successful shopping center, architectural design is a key factor in addition to location and transportation. This paper, basedon the concept of "pole" and its shopping psychological explanation, revealed the regular pattern of shopping center design. Through someexamples it verifies the effects of the "pole", including in attracting people, driving consumption and enhancing the rents level of shoppingcenter.
