The applications of discrete -event system simulation in hospital sectors, such as outpatient, emergency, surgical treatment, intensive care, and whole hospital in recent years are overviewed. The simulation methods and research strategies are discussed. The problems in these researches are analyzed, and the prospects are put forward.
