基于磁开关和带状线的长脉冲超低阻抗脉冲发生器

         

摘要

A pulse generator featured with long pulse, ultra-low impedance, and compact structure is designed based on a rolled strip pulse forming line (PFL) and a magnetic switch. This generator was designed to generate a pulse with voltage of 20 kV, current of 40 kA, and duration of 230 ns. It comprises primary energy system, pulse transformer, magnetic switch, rolled strip PFL, rail gap switch, and load. The magnetic switch operates in about 40 kV, which compresses the pulse duration from 10 μs to 2 μs. The all solid-state, rolled strip PFL is rolled up by copper plate and Mylar film separately, whose characteristic impedance and electrical length are respectively 0.5 Ω and about 115 ns. Experiment results gave a 17.8 kV, 270 ns (FWHM) voltage pulse which was a quasi-square wave on the water load of 0.5 Ω. The current in the load was about 35.6 kA. The theoretical and simulation results agree well with the experimental results.%设计了一台基于磁开关和带状线的超低阻抗长脉冲脉冲发生器.设计输出脉冲电压20 kV,电流40 kA,脉宽230 ns,由初级储能系统、脉冲变压器、磁开关、带状脉冲形成线、轨道开关和负载组成.脉冲发生器的关键设备是40 kV级磁开关,它能将40 kV, 10 μs的脉冲压缩为40 kV, 2 μs的脉冲;超低阻抗卷绕型带状脉冲形成线,其特性阻抗0.5 Ω,电长度115 ns,由铜带和聚酯薄膜卷绕而成,为全固态化脉冲形成线.在大功率匹配负载上得到了电压17.8 kV,电流35.6 kA,脉宽约270 ns的准方波脉冲.实验结果与理论计算及数值模拟结果基本一致.
