用于高功率放大的光子晶体光纤特性研究

         

摘要

稀土掺杂光子晶体光纤是制作高功率光纤激光器、光纤放大器的理想材料,对稀土掺杂光子晶体光纤的研究尤为重要。提出了一种新型的空气孔八边形双排排列的光子晶体光纤,并对其部分特性进行分析。研究了该种光纤的掺杂纤芯直径、掺杂折射率和波长的变化对有效模场面积和有效折射率的影响,并计算了该稀土掺杂光纤作为光纤放大器时的重叠因子的特性。为以后更好的制作光纤放大器等光器件产生了一定的理论基础。%Rare earth-doped photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is a kind of ideal material to produce high power fiber lasers and amplifiers, which is particularly important to the research on rare earth-doped PCF. A new octagonal PCF with air hole and arranged in double rows is proposed. And the characteristics are analyzed. Influences from the changes of doped fiber coil diameters, doped refractive index and wavelength on effective model field areas and re-fractive index are researched. And overlap factor characteristics of the rare earth-doped fiber as a fiber amplifier are calculated. Theory bases of producing photonic apparatuses such as fiber amplifiers are established.
