The ground-breaking ceremony of Sudan's largest transmission and substation project, undertaken by China Harbin Power Plant Co., Ltd, was held in Omdurman City,Khartoum State, Sudan on April 9, 2005. The length of the line is planned to be 1776 m. Its construction cost will amount to US$ 0.4 billion.
