Modal Analysis of the Handle of YG—5 Type Chainsaw

＜正＞ By means of a modal analysis technique and the software package—SMS3.0, the dynamiccharacteristics of the handle of the YG—5 [i. e. GJ—85] type chainsaw has been analyzed. It was foundthat there is resonant vibration in the horizontal part of the handle in a vertical direction with the peak beinghighest at the frequency of 117Hz on the FRF curve. It is proposed that this is a defect in the YG—5 typechainsaw, and it is pointed out that this peak must be lowered to achieve the goal of reducing the vibration ofthe handle .
