Objective To study the prevalence of Parkinson's disease (PD) and its relationship with metabolic syndrome a-mong people over 65 in Mawei District .Methods We investigated the prevalence of PD in the physical examination population aged over 65 in 10 villages of Mawei District Luoxing Street .Results Thirty-two cases were diagnosed as Parkinson's disease .The prevalence rate was 1.81% (95% CI 0.0175 -0.0187 ) .There were 22 males and 10 females .The ratio of male to female was 2.2 :1.0 .The prevalence rate was 2.37% (95% CI 0.0139 ,-0.0335) and 1.19% (95% CI 0.0046 -0.0192) ,respectively . The waist circumference ,hip circumference and BMI of PD patients were higher than that of the people without PD .And the difference of hip circumference was statistically significant (P=0.035) .The HDL and TC/TG were significantly lower of PD pa-tients than that of the people without PD .And the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05) .The prevalence rate of PD patients with diabetes history was higher than that of the person without diabetes mellitus .And the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P= 0.008) .But there was no significant difference with the fasting blood glucose (P=0.068) .Conclusion The rate of PD prevalence was 1.81% among people over the age of 65 in Mawei District Luoxing Street .The pathogenesis of PD may be associated with metabolic syndrome .%目的 了解马尾区65岁以上人群帕金森病(Parkinson's disease,PD)的患病率及与代谢综合征间的关系.方法对马尾区罗星街道10个村居65岁以上老年体检人群进行PD患病率调查.结果32例诊断为帕金森病,患病率为1.81%(95%CI0.0175~0.0187).其中男22例,女10例,男女比例为2.2:1.0,患病率分别为2.37%(95%CI0.0139~0.0335)和1.19%(95%CI0.0046~0.0192).帕金森病人的腰围、臀围、BMI均高于非帕金森病人,其中臀围差异有统计学意义(P=0.035);HDL、TC/TG明显低于非帕金森病人,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05);有糖尿病史的帕金森病患病率高于无糖尿病史者,差异有统计学意义(P=0.008),但与空腹血糖间的关系差异无统计学意义(P=0.068).结论马尾区罗星街道65岁以上人群PD患病率为1.81%.帕金森病的发病与代谢综合征可能存在某种关联.
