Renowned art critic Liu Xiaochun was not certain if his visit to Hu Youben’s studio in Baoding was worthy or not. However, after several months spent to observe the latter’s creation practices, Liu considered his visit truly worthwhile. He was so impressed by unique creations of Hu’s contemporary ink and wash painting.
