China stands in the eastern edge of Asia while Romania is located in the southeastern part of Europe.Though separated by rivers and mountains, the two nations enjoyed a long-standing history of friendly contacts.More than one thousand years ago,the ancient Silk Roads brought the people of the two nations closely with each other, with China as its starting point and Romania as a major transit point for its European section.Today, some historic castles are still preserved in the northern part of the Black Sea area within the territory of Romania.
