Expansion and Revamp of FCCU by Means of New Technology

摘要

PetroChina Karamai Petrochemical Branch Company by means of the technology licensed by UOP has revamped the cyclone system, feed nozzles, and main air distribution pipe of the 500 kt/a FCC unit, resulting in reduced coke formation and decreased dry gas yield in this unit. On the basis of the existing equipment, the throughput of this unit has been increased to 800 kt/a from 500 kt/a, with the total liquid yield reaching 88.66%. In the meantime, the revamp has reduced the pressure drop in the regenerator system with apparent energy conservation effects and significant economic benefits.
