A method for locating double bond in hexadecenyl acetates has beendeveloped by analyzing the mass spectral patterns on a fuzzy classification.The procedure was tested with the spectra of Δ2- to Δ15-isomers and theoriginal double-bond position in these acetates was located unambiguously.
