Reliability of Ubiquitous Computing Devices for Supporting Rural Health Care.

The cyber technology has advanced the way we live but the rural community of India still faces challenges in offering adequate and organized healthcare services especially lacking in critical life support treatment when in need. An increasing number of consumers in villages are still struggling to get a decent health service at a reasonable cost. The issue gets worse when emergency healthcare is need; the current systems puts the lives of people in danger.;The research in this thesis discusses the communication issues by studying limitations of the current protocols in the Indian Healthcare system. The proposed model suggests a solution in the form of a web-application that utilizes the newly designed HTML version 5 protocol and its features. We will evaluate the current protocol implementations in a lab to bring to the forefront the strengths of the HTML 5 protocol and its use in the applications. This will help the community to utilize the existing infrastructure in a better manner and ultimately get better healthcare support when they are in dire need of it.
