On the whole, the thesis presented by D. Antonio Hervas Jorge provides numerous original results and a great quantity of information concerning the subject, illustrating how different functional analysis tools can be used successfully for solving differential problems arisen in several fields of science and technology.; This thesis has been fruitfully conducted by Dr. Lucas Jodar Sanchez, professor at the department of applied mathematics at the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia, and a special emphasis has been given to the correlation between the theoretical and practical aspects of the work.
