The stress distribution in a fillet radius at the vertex of right angled "L" shaped models is investigated to determine the stress concentration caused by this geometric feature. Five different sized fillet radii were used during this study. The models were generated using a finite element program and the results were compared with data in the literature to ensure validity. The computer results approximate experimental test data. Additional finite element models were created using the angles of 120{dollar}spcirc{dollar}, 60{dollar}spcirc{dollar}, and 45{dollar}spcirc{dollar} and with the five different fillet radii to expand upon the experimental data. The results of all the models were compiled to create a curve defining the stress concentrations in a fillet radius of "L" shaped bars of various angles and different sized radii.
