WINTER BLOSSOMS is a collection which includes one creative non-fiction autobiographical essay, several poems, and a one-act play. The essay and poems are arranged in three sections, each representing one stage of life. The first section, NEW BUDS, includes the autobiographical essay and poems relating to youth. The two subsequent sections, FULL BLOOM and FADING, deal with impressions of maturity and aging. The play is included as a final section unto itself and is existential in nature, addressing the topics of miscommunication, futility, and despair which result from the inadequacy of language.
