This study examines the leadership-styles of Egyptian city administrators and the impact of those leadership styles on the functioning of their respective cities. The study concentrates on three new Egyptian cities, 10th of Ramadan, 6th of October, and 15th of May, and discusses the problems of establishing those cities. In this context, the study isolates specific characteristics of management and determines to what extent the city administrators under consideration exhibited these traits in their management styles. It then correlates the incidence of these traits with the success the various administrators have achieved in managing their cities.;The study begins with background on the development of Egyptian cities. It discusses the need to establish new cities to better serve the population and to maintain Egypt's place among developed nations. It also examines the problems associated with establishing new cities, attracting and maintaining a stable population of residents, and providing adequate city services to serve those residents.;Against this background, the study considers the role of city administrators in maintaining the new cities. The study discusses the traditional management approach practiced by Egyptian city administrators. It then focuses on specific traits present in various management Styles, such as Representation, Persuasiveness, and Initiating Structure. The study determines to what extent these traits are present in the administrators of 10th of Ramadan, 6 th of October, and 15th of May by analyzing the results of questionnaires completed by residents of the three cities. The results were analyzed using the ANOVA and Tukey methods.
