Improve quality care for patients by incorporating learning styles into training programs for direct care staff members.

The employment of direct care workers has significantly increased in demand due to the many Americans in need of health assistance. Direct care workers form the core of assisted living health care. These individuals provide personal assistance to the elderly, individuals with developmental disabilities, and individuals with traumatic brain injuries. They aid in completing daily activities, personal hygiene care, and transportation. In order to provide quality care for patients, direct care workers need proper training. There are various methods of training currently being used in health care. The goal of this project was to identify the best training practices for direct care employees. In addition to identifying the project focused on these methods of training, the project will focus on the four main learning styles and their effect on the success of a training program.
