Hi-tech industries have been the major driving forces for economic development in Taiwan. To cope with the fierce competition in the market, it has become increasingly important to develop a motivation strategy for the employees. Employees' inclination to work hard is strongly affected by their organizations. The relationship between the organizational factors and employee motivation has been widely investigated in the West; however, due to cultural differences, the conclusion might not be fitted for the situation in Taiwan. Therefore, it is crucial to find out a different paradigm to target the hi-tech industries in Taiwan. This research demonstrates a wide range mathematical model to inspire employee motivation. The dependent variables (Y) in our research were located in individual domain-mindset, task motivation, personal expertise and creativity. All these dependent variables were seen as four dimensions in individual domain to indicate employee motivation. The independent variables (X) were located in organizational domain-management practice, resources allocation, organizational motivation, leadership and teamship. Organizational motivation was the most important independent variable, followed by leadership. The other three independent variables, each to a different extent, also have some effects on the four dimensions in individual domain. In this research, we also concluded a workable paradigm for the management of the hi-tech companies in Taiwan for the purpose of motivating their employees.
