This study investigated and analyzed the perceptions of salary leavers and stayers who currently work at or have worked at New Venture Gear Muncie Transmission Division since January 1, 1996. A cross-sectional questionnaire was administered to the leaver and stayer participants that indicated reasons salaried employees are voluntarily leaving NVG Muncie.; The questionnaire was used to collect data about five independent variables (job satisfaction, organizational commitment, met expectations, trust in higher management, and work fatigue), identified in the literature review as antecedents of employee turnover, and one categorical dependent variable (leaver or stayer). Logistic regression analysis procedures were used to analyze the data.; The results of the study indicated that the five independent variables, as a group, are predictors of voluntary employee turnover. Another finding was that there is a significant level of job dissatisfaction in the salaried organization, which might be contributing to voluntary employee turnover. A model of turnover (with five independent variables and one dependent variable) was developed as a result of the literature review.
