This research study was developed to gain insight into general education teachers' perspective on the provision of occupational therapy (OT) services in the classroom for students in inclusion programs. Kielhofner's (1980) model of human occupation was used as the conceptual framework for this study. The holistic approach of occupational therapy and the model of human occupation establish that a client-centered approach to treatment is essential. This study is a replication of research previously conducted by Weymer (1997). Replication as a research technique is very important because it helps to validate previous research. Weymer's survey was utilized to gather data from 100 general education teachers teaching children with disabilities who receive OT services in the classroom throughout two counties in western New York. The survey results provided valuable information regarding the teacher's perspective on occupational therapy services provided within the general education classroom. Information gained through this study may provide occupational therapists with ideas to further augment their working relationships with classroom teachers.
