The study involves "Teaming", a topic that is receiving attention in education today. Teaming is a school improvement initiative strategy used at many grade levels in many schools across the country. This plan of action brings core teachers, in such contents as Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies and connects them with a common group of students. Teaming has proven to be very beneficial in the students' transition elementary grades to junior high school, academic growth and student achievement. Student achievement, in relation to this study, is reflected by students passing the AIMS assessment in Mathematics and Language Arts.;This investigation, which takes place in two junior high schools located in southwestern United States, analyzes and compares the Mathematics and Language Arts AIMS results of recently exited ELL students who attended a Teaming school with those who attended a Non-Teaming school.;In addition, with the exception of the ELL block and self-contained SPED students, an analysis and comparison was conducted on junior high school students to determine if those attending a Teaming school achieve greater results on the Mathematics & Language Arts AIMS when compared with those attending a Non-Teaming school.
