In a globalized business environment, managers working in multinational corporations (MNCs) face the challenge of communicating effectively across different cultures. Choosing the appropriate communication media is an important factor in getting the best results in communication. Capabilities offered by various communication media can either assist or hinder users in the effectiveness of their interactions. Working with a multinational group in a global environment, the various communication styles are influenced by group members' cultural backgrounds and present additional challenges for MNC managers to communicate effectively. Making a poor decision in choosing communication media can create confusion, misunderstanding, and mistrust among employees. Miscommunication in the workplace can result in delayed responses to critical situations, ineffectiveness in group interactions, and other undesirable consequences. Through evidence-based research, the results of this study indicate that the key to the effective cross-cultural communication is to have an integrated knowledge of Media Synchronicity Theory and Global Mindset. The knowledge of Media Synchronicity Theory can help MNC managers to improve their communication performance by matching the media capabilities to the requirements of the communication processes. The knowledge of Global Mindset can help MNC managers to understand cultural challenges in a global working environment. Having these two types of knowledge and being able to integrate them will give MNC managers the ability of accurately matching the media capabilities with the communication processes to get the best results in multicultural personal interactions. The purpose of this research is to create a conceptual framework that demonstrates a way to integrate Media Synchronicity Theory and Global Mindset. This framework can be used by MNC managers to improve their cross-cultural communication performance.
