摘要

In this study, dynamic simulation models are used to generate plausible upset scenarios. This dynamic simulation is done using Aspen Engineering Suite. As case studies, reboiler duty failure for Depropanizer, charge pump failure for Debutanizer and change of the control tray temperature for Deethanizer are simulated. Dynamic responses from these models are studied to find a way to minimize emissions during such emergency situations. Advanced software tool used provides improved understanding of the process, which helps operation group make a fast and better decision.; A tightly integrated environment containing dynamic model with the distributed control system interface can provide operations group with a comprehensive tool at their hand. Such extended use of dynamic simulation is also studied during this work.
